Description

Easy Oreo Heart Bites are adorable no-bake Valentine treats made with Oreo cookies dipped in white and colored chocolate, then decorated with festive sprinkles. These sweet heart-shaped bites come together quickly with just a few ingredients, making them perfect for parties, gifts, or last-minute desserts.

Ingredients

Cookies

  • 20 Oreo cookies (regular or Golden)

Chocolate Coating

  • 1½ cups white chocolate chips or candy melts
  • ½ cup pink or red candy melts (optional)
  • 1 tsp coconut oil or shortening (optional)

Decoration

  • Valentine’s sprinkles or sanding sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare Work Surface: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Insert Toothpicks: Carefully insert a toothpick into the cream center of each Oreo cookie to aid in dipping and handling during coating.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Melt the white chocolate chips or candy melts in the microwave in 20–30 second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval until smooth. Add coconut oil or shortening if desired for a smoother consistency.
  4. Dip Oreos: Dip each Oreo cookie into the melted white chocolate, fully coating it. Gently tap off any excess chocolate to avoid drips.
  5. Shape Hearts: Place the coated Oreos on the parchment-lined baking sheet. While the chocolate is still wet, shape the top into a heart shape using the tip of a toothpick for a festive look.
  6. Add Sprinkles: Sprinkle Valentine’s themed sprinkles or sanding sugar over the wet chocolate coating to decorate the bites.
  7. Drizzle Colored Chocolate: Melt the pink or red candy melts and drizzle them over the cookies for added color and decoration.
  8. Set Chocolate: Allow the dipped and decorated Oreos to sit undisturbed at room temperature for 20–30 minutes, or until the chocolate coating has completely set and hardened.

Notes

  • Use candy melts instead of regular chocolate for smoother coating and vibrant color.
  • Chill Oreos in the refrigerator for 10 minutes before dipping to make handling easier and to help the chocolate set faster.
  • Store the finished Oreo heart bites in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days to maintain freshness.
  • These treats are great for Valentine’s Day boxes, party platters, or as sweet homemade gifts.
