Description

These rich, zesty Dark Chocolate Orange Truffles are made with orange purée, coconut milk, and dark chocolate. Naturally dairy-free and gluten-free, they make the perfect bite-sized treat for holidays, parties, or anytime snacking.

Ingredients

Truffles:

1 cup dark chocolate chips

½ cup orange purée (from 1 medium orange, blended)

¼ cup coconut milk

3 tbsp coconut flour

Zest from one orange

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt

Chocolate Coating:

½ cup dark chocolate chips

1 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Make orange purée: Zest orange and set aside. Peel and blend the orange until smooth.

  2. Melt base: In a saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate chips with orange purée, zest, coconut milk, vanilla, and salt until smooth.

  3. Mix & chill: Pour into bowl, stir in coconut flour, cover, and chill for 1 hour.

  4. Form truffles: Scoop and roll into 14 balls. Chill again.

  5. Coat: Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in microwave. Dip each truffle, let excess drip off, and place on parchment-lined tray.

  6. Finish: Sprinkle with zest or sea salt. Chill 15–20 minutes until set.

Notes

  • Store in the fridge up to 1 week or freeze up to 2 months.
  • For sweeter truffles, use semi-sweet chocolate chips.
  • Adjust orange zest to taste for more or less citrus punch.
