- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced

- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 cup milk

- 2 refrigerated pie crusts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) to get it ready for baking the pot pie.
- Prepare the pie crust: Place one refrigerated pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish, pressing gently to fit the bottom and sides evenly.
- Make the sauce: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until the mixture is smooth and bubbly, forming a roux.
- Add liquids: Gradually whisk in the chicken broth and milk, continuing to stir until the sauce thickens to a creamy consistency.
- Combine filling: Stir the cooked chicken, diced carrots, peas, and chopped celery into the thickened sauce, mixing evenly.
- Fill the crust: Pour the chicken and vegetable filling into the prepared pie crust in the dish.
- Top with second crust: Cover the filling with the second pie crust, seal the edges by pressing them together, and cut small slits on top of the crust to allow steam to escape during baking.
- Bake: Place the pie in the preheated oven and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until the crust is golden brown and bubbling.
- Rest before serving: Remove the pie from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes to set before slicing and serving.
