Soft, buttery, and spiced with cinnamon, these cinnamon snowball cookies are a cozy twist on a classic holiday favorite. Rolled in powdered sugar twice for that perfect snowy finish!
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar (plus extra for coating)
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)
Extra powdered sugar and cinnamon for rolling
Instructions

In a large bowl, cream butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk flour, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, mixing until just combined.

Fold in chopped nuts if using.

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 1 inch apart on the baking sheet.

Bake for 10–12 minutes until bottoms are golden.

While warm, roll cookies in cinnamon and powdered sugar. Let cool, then roll again for a snowy finish.
Notes
- Pecans, walnuts, or almonds work well in this recipe.
