Ingredients
Lasagna:
- 9 lasagna noodles
Chicken and Cheese Mixture:
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Sauce and Seasoning:
- 2 cups Alfredo sauce (homemade or jarred)
- Salt, to taste
- Pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking the lasagna.
- Cook Noodles: Boil the lasagna noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
- Prepare Ricotta Mixture: In a bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper; mix well to create a creamy filling.
- Layer Ingredients: Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. Start layering with noodles, spread some of the ricotta mixture, add shredded chicken, spoon Alfredo sauce on top, then sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
- Repeat and Top: Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with a top layer of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese for a golden crust.
- Bake: Place the assembled dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30–35 minutes until the lasagna is bubbly and golden on top.
- Rest Before Serving: Remove from oven and let the lasagna rest for about 10 minutes to set before slicing and serving.
