Ingredients
Beef and Vegetables
- 500g beef (cubed or ground)
- 4 medium potatoes (peeled and sliced)
- 1/2 onion (chopped)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
Liquids and Cheese
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Other
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, then add the beef. Cook until browned on all sides to enhance flavor and seal in the juices.
- Layer Ingredients in Slow Cooker: Transfer the browned beef into the slow cooker. Layer the sliced potatoes and chopped onions evenly on top of the beef.
- Prepare Sauce Mixture: In a bowl, combine beef broth, cream of mushroom soup, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well mixed.
- Pour Sauce Over Ingredients: Carefully pour the broth and soup mixture over the beef, potatoes, and onions in the slow cooker, ensuring everything is covered.
- Slow Cook: Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours, or on high for 3 to 4 hours, until the beef is tender and the potatoes are cooked through.
- Add Cheese: About 20 minutes before the end of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top. Replace the lid to allow the cheese to melt.
- Serve Warm: Once the cheese has melted, serve the dish warm. Enjoy your comforting cheesy beef meal!
