Make a Starbucks-inspired Iced Brown Sugar Oatmilk Shaken Espresso at home with this easy, 5-minute recipe. No special equipment needed! Enjoy the perfect blend of cinnamon, brown sugar, and oat milk for a creamy, plant-based coffee drink that’s as refreshing as it is delicious. Whether you’re looking to cool off or need an afternoon pick-me-up, this quick iced coffee is your answer!

Ingredients

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon water

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

3 blonde espresso shots (or ½ cup cold brew coffee)

⅓ cup oat milk

Ice (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Make the Brown Sugar Syrup:
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and vanilla extract. Microwave for 30 seconds to 1 minute, then stir until the sugar has dissolved. Let it cool (it will thicken slightly).

  2. Prepare the Espresso:
Brew 3 shots of blonde espresso or use ½ cup of cold brew coffee.

  3. Assemble the Drink:
Add ice to a mason jar or cup. Pour in the brown sugar syrup and espresso (or cold brew). Close the lid tightly and shake until frothy.

  4. Finish and Serve:
Remove the lid and pour in oat milk. Stir to combine, and enjoy!

Notes

  • Creamier texture: Add heavy cream or coconut milk for an extra smooth and rich drink.
  • More spice: Boost the fall flavors by adding more cinnamon or a pinch of nutmeg.
  • Sweetener options: Adjust the sweetness with more or less brown sugar, or substitute with maple syrup for a different twist.
