Description

A refreshing antioxidant-rich hibiscus tea infused with mixed berry flavors, perfect served hot or cold for a vibrant and healthful beverage.

Ingredients

Tea

  • 1 hibiscus tea bag or 1 tbsp dried hibiscus petals
  • 1 cup hot water

Fruit & Flavorings

  • 2 tbsp mixed berries (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)

Sweetener

  • Sweetener to taste (such as honey, sugar, or sugar-free syrup)

Instructions

  1. Steep the Hibiscus Tea: Place the hibiscus tea bag or dried hibiscus petals into 1 cup of hot water. Let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes to extract the vibrant color and tart flavor.
  2. Add Berries: Add 2 tablespoons of mixed berries to the steeped tea. Lightly mash the berries to release their juices and infuse berry flavor into the tea.
  3. Add Lemon Juice and Sweetener: Stir in 1 teaspoon of lemon juice if using, then add sweetener to taste. Adjust according to your preference for sweetness.
  4. Serve: Enjoy the tea hot right away, or allow it to cool and chill it in the refrigerator for a refreshing iced berry hibiscus tea.

Notes

  • For a sparkling variation, add sparkling water before serving for a refreshing spritzer.
  • Using sugar-free berry syrup can enhance the berry flavor without adding calories.
  • The tea deepens in color the longer it steeps, so adjust steep time based on desired strength and color.
