Description

This Balsamic Strawberry Caprese Salad is a stunning twist on a classic—featuring juicy strawberries, creamy mozzarella, fresh basil, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. A quick and elegant summer appetizer or side dish.


Ingredients

1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

8 oz fresh mozzarella (balls or sliced log)

½ cup fresh basil leaves

23 tbsp balsamic reduction

Optional:

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Fresh cracked black pepper

Flaky sea salt


Instructions

  1. Rinse and slice the strawberries into ¼-inch slices.

  2. Slice fresh mozzarella into rounds or drain mozzarella balls.

  3. On a platter, alternate slices of strawberry and mozzarella.

  4. Tuck basil leaves between layers.

  5. Drizzle balsamic reduction over the salad.

  6. Add olive oil, black pepper, and sea salt if using.

  7. Serve immediately.
