Golden, crispy portobello mushrooms coated in ranch-seasoned breading, air-fried to perfection for a quick, healthy snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
For the breading:
½ cup milk
½ cup all-purpose flour
½ teaspoon garlic and onion seasoning
½ cup ranch dressing
¾ cup panko bread crumbs
2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
For the mushrooms:
8 ounces portobello mushroom caps, cleaned
Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions

Preheat & Prepare:
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Set up a breading station with four shallow dishes:-
Dish 1: Milk

Dish 2: Flour with garlic and onion seasoning

Dish 3: Ranch dressing

Dish 4: Panko bread crumbs with dry ranch dressing mix

Breading the Mushrooms:
Dip each mushroom cap into the milk, then coat in the flour mixture. Next, dip in the ranch dressing, followed by the panko bread crumbs. Ensure each mushroom is fully coated. -
Air Fry the Mushrooms:
Place the breaded mushrooms in the air fryer basket. Lightly spray with nonstick cooking spray. Air-fry for about 7 minutes, until golden and crispy. -
Serve:
Remove mushrooms from the air fryer. Serve immediately, optionally with a side of dipping sauce (ranch dressing, marinara, or sriracha mayo).

- Mushroom Variety: Use button or cremini mushrooms for a different texture.
